Gary Allan
Gary Allan has no doubt made his mark on the country music industry. Hit songs like “Songs About Rain,” “Right Where I Need To Be,” “Watchin’ Airplanes,” and many more have made him a favorite amongst the modern country music fans. Allan has also has been known for delivering a powerful moving ballad. It’s hard-rockin’, country music that has traded in its twang for a gravelly growl millions of fans recognize as the voice of Gary Allan. It’s raw and emotional. Gary proves that, though times may change, the thread of truth at the center of his music remains the same. He feels some changes come from the fans themselves. It’s not like he is trying for a new direction. The fans dictate the music. Gary feeds off the audience, whatever they’re really wanting is what they drag out of him. He’s got the edgy side of the country crowd and he wants to keep them.
Allan has also made a conscious decision to spend more time songwriting, and he feels he is writing better. His theory is, the more you write, the more you’ve got to say and the deeper you can express your emotions. If you’ve been to any of Gary’s shows you know that when he sings about “baring my soul for the price of your ticket,” he’s not just blowing smoke.
Most of all he just wants people to come along for the ride---and hear the sounds of a life in progress. It’s a good listen, and he is excited for fans to hear it. He’ll take you through a whole range of emotions and it’s going to take you on a journey. That’s his goal.
