    Wednesday August 27

   Tracy Lawrence                     Chris Cagle

     &

Tracy Lawrence

Tracy Lawrence is one of the premiere voices in his generation. A sensitive and intelligent singer who continues to stretch both as an artist and as a person.  Lawrence’s dedication to honesty and respect for tradition have enabled him to build one of the most respected careers in recent country history.  Tracy has posted more No. 1 Billboard country singles than many of the greats.

Tracy Lawrence was the product of a rough-and-tumble childhood in Arkansas, and described himself as a young “hellion”.  He has overcome some personal issues and has turned his life around and is now a happily married father with two daughters.

Lawrence moved to Nashville in 1990 and recorded his debut album “Sticks And Stones” in 1991 at the age of 23.  Complementing the influences of Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, George Strait and his appreciation for Southern Rock, Tracy adopted the elements of his singing.  His striking vocal instrument—distinctively country with a cutting edge—earned him attention from the beginning. Lawrence has devoted much of his energy to develop his writing skill.

You will recognize Tracy’s songs from “Find Out Who Your Friends Are”, and Time Marches On” to his current hit “Till I Was A Daddy Too”.

                       Chris Cagle

If Chris Cagle were nothing more than a man who lives at full-speed,

he would still be one of country music’s more interesting characters.

There aren’t many in the industry who can put passion and energy on

stage or on record the way he can.  But a man doesn’t “Go Gold”

with his first two albums and produce seven hits on nothing more

than bravado.  Chris’s secret weapon lies in his ability to capture

emotion with his pen and his voice.

Chris took a vocal rest and is convinced that his rest period left him in a better place vocally.  He has changed the dynamic of his vocals and does not sing hard at everything, but has a new sense of control.

Chris will open the 2008 Walla Walla Fair & Frontier Days Concert Wednesday evening August 27, at 7:00 PM.  Be ready for some great listening with songs that include: “Anywhere But Here”, You Still Do That to Me”, “Hey Y’all",“Might Wanna Think About It”, and “Wal-Mart Parking Lot”.

NEWS FLASH!!

Tracy will be in concert along with Chris Cagle at the Walla Walla Fair and Frontier Days on Wednesday August 27, 2008.

More about the life of Chris Cagle:

There is a gravel-paved road that leads to a 60-plus-acre Ranch in Gainsville, Texas, just an hour north of Dalles.  In the distance a ranch hand is dragging the arena after a full day of horse training.  That fellow isn't your ordinary ranch hand, though.  He's country music star CHRIS CAGLE--and this is the life he loves. The ranch owner is Jim Babcock and Chris spends three months of each year at the ranch. The quality time he has spent there has given him the opportunity to learn more about horses,  one of his favorite subjects.   It has changed the way he chooses to live his life.
